Alternate Perception

We struggle to express ourselves to the world, to know our sense of place. What our thoughts are, and how we see and experience this great mystery called life. In amongst our Reverie’ we feel the pure rawness of Vulnerability in life How it comes to be, and what to make of it!

The philosophy behind my art can be complex in its connections. While making art randomly and intuitively through abstract shapes I seek disparate patterns of connections with the Earth to gain a deeper understanding of our Life Forces. The shapes become Personal Symbols enabling a more personal exploration to a deeper link.

I believe a natural process to be the life-blood of Self Expression And integral to the Artist’, Or the Value of Meaning will be empty.

The magnificent bush in all its glory, Protecting creatures from life’s story.
Here it comes, manmade machine, To sweep away sustainable dream.
Pushing through, right from left, Animals and creatures left bereft.
Sweeping, Crushing everything to excess, Destroying a path of natural process.

A vision impaired with capital greed, Reaching out like a centipede.
Denial to what is natural:
life’s need.

Harmony compared, Fortunes won and lost.
Critical mass for us to scoff.
Settle the score, Don’t appease the masses
Don’t accept love to toss.
Heart to heart, Mind to mind.
Let the signals show the path,
To gently discover meaning, Heart with heart

NO Up! NO Down!
It was the idea that came to me
Of structures, That may yet come to be
NO Up! NO Down!
Everything floating into one another, In what might well be perpetual space
In a glorified frame, And how things are supposed to be?
NO Up! NO Down!

I’m alive, I’m alive, the rocks and trees
The wind and light breezes
The sun in motion with the moon
The grasses and the insects
The sun on the sand, kisses objects at hand
My sense of place will be left a trace
I will be dancing soon.

Looking through, Eyes of the Ancient
Through cracks of time, Aged, character, rebirth.
I am my father, mother, children, They are me.
